Silver Cloud Resorts
This is one of the most interesting projects we executed so far. The Miyawaki micro-forest is in a circular shape with an opening inside. The micro-forest was created in an area of 645 sqm with 2020 trees from 120 native species of Kerala. Outside the Miyawaki area, we have made a fruit orchard with local and exotic fruit trees and shrubs.
Vilvex Cables Factory
This one a great example of how a manufactoring unit can use a Miyawaki micro-forest to transform their campus. Every bit of land was used up for some purpose already in this factory campus and hardly any space was left out. So, we used a strip of land along the compound wall measuring 40 sq meters to create a tiny Miyawaki micro-forest. In one year the forest was established very well with a height of over 10 feet. Even such a tiny micro-forest could dramatically transform the entire factory campus attracting birds and butterflies and spreading positive energy all around.
Matha Ayurvedic Hospital
A premium ayurvedic hospital with a close to nature theme spread across in 2.25 acres of land. This project is at the foothills of Ponmudi hill station in Trivandrum with challenging steep rocky terrains. We had to work around huge rock boulders lying all across the property. In the first phase, we created 3 patches of Miyawaki micro-forests and in the second phase we created a pond, a mini amphitheatre, rock structures, pathways and other landscaping elements. We planted native species and medicinal plants, shrubs and climbers around the cottages and outside the pathways, blending the already established Miyawaki micro-forests into the entire landscape. On the whole, we could transform a large barren land into a ‘healing’ ayurvedic forest garden within two years of time.
Glitz Home Villas
This property had a unique problem, a railway line passing next to it, disturbing the view and creating uncomfortable sound. We created a long strip of Miyawaki micro-forest along the borders, blocking the view of rail line and the passing trains. The hi-density Miyawaki micro-forest also helped to reduce the train sounds drastically in one year, creating a safe and secluded ambience around the premium villas. The first phase is over and we would be doing one more patch of Miyawaki micro-forest and landscaping soon.
